Parking & Transportation Information

Move like a local! Know where to go before you leave home with these helpful tips!

There may be significant traffic congestion affecting both event-goers and Omaha-area commuters. The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) advises everyone to exercise patience when traveling to and from the event and remain vigilant for unexpected slowdowns or stopped traffic.

Driving to the event? The Omaha Police Department, in partnership with NDOT and the City of Omaha, will be present to direct motorists to take the following recommended routes to the games:

  • For drivers arriving in Omaha on I-80 from the west: Travel Interstate 80 (I-80) eastbound to I-480 northbound, exiting on Leavenworth Street (Exit 1B) or Harney Street (Exit 2A), then use city streets to navigate to parking options near Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
  • For drivers arriving in Omaha from the east: Travel I-80 westbound and exit on 13th Street (Exit 454), then use city streets to navigate to parking options near Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
After each game, exiting traffic will be directed to 13th Street or Cuming Street to alleviate congestion and create a smoother departure for all.

Click HERE or view the map below for how traffic will be directed before and after the games. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time to get to their destinations, plan ahead, and visit www.511.nebraska.gov for a real time-look at traffic.

Heartland Bike Share is a local, nonprofit organization that operates the bike share program.  Every bike is an ebike!  Download the BCycle app to check out a bike and ride to any of the 80+ stations across the Omaha Metro, including many stations near the Men's CWS.  In addition to the 80+ stations, a bike parking corral is also available near 13th St./Mike Fahey St. (see map). Riders are advised to bring their own lock and park at their own risk as it is not staffed. For more information on Heartland Bike Share and riding bikes in and around Charles Schwab Field Omaha, visit heartlandbikeshare.org.

METRO & ORBT
  • Metro, the city's transit authority, provides an easy, inexpensive way to get around downtown. For $0.25 a ride, fans can ride the Stadium Circulator bus, which runs every 10 minutes. Circulator service will begin on Thursday, June 13 for the Opening Celebration Day from approximately 8 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. On game days, the circulator will start service 60 minutes before the first game and run until 60 minutes after the last game of the day. The route makes a loop around the Old Market, a variety of downtown destinations, and Charles Schwab Field Omaha, as shown in blue on the event map
  • Local and vising riders can also take advantage of ORBT, Omaha’s rapid transit line, serving Omaha from downtown to Westroads Mall. A ride on ORBT costs $1.25 each way. A free park and ride lot is available at the Westroads Transit Center for riders, and the line connects directly with the Stadium Circulator. Riders can plan a trip and track their bus using MyRide OMA, Metro's real-time application, available online, as a mobile app, or via a text message system.
