Final seconds: Florida State's fourth NCAA women's soccer championship

Four-time national title winners Florida State women’s soccer hadn't lost a single game since Dec. 2, 2022. After just one tie in the 2023 season, the Seminoles claimed the largest national championship victory since 2003 thanks to a 5-1 win over Stanford. With their most recent national title, the Seminoles became the first undefeated champions in over a decade. The question going into the 2024 season was, "Can they do it again?" And if not that, "Who’s going to be the ones to stop them?"

In the end, the answer was Wake Forest, as the Demon Deacons stopped FSU's school-record unbeaten run at 32 games with a 4-1 result on Oct. 3, 2024.
